About the PTCO

The Parent-Teacher-Counselor Organization (PTCO) for the Indiana School for the Deaf was established in 1951 by parents wanting to partner with the school to improve and enhance the educational and extracurricular opportunities for students and their families at the ISD. Today, as a not-for-profit group, the PTCO not only continues the tradition of partnership with ISD, but is seeking partnerships with individuals and groups that want to make a difference in the lives of Indiana's Deaf and Hard of Hearing children.

Working together, we can achieve our goals now and for many years to come. But we need your help. If you or your group would like more information or are interested in building a partnership with the PTCO, please contact one of our officers.

Mission Statement:
Through a bilingual/bicultural philosophy, PTCO exists to serve as an advocate and financial supporter for the diverse educational needs and rights of all Deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families at the Indiana School for the Deaf.
